Ming-Li Hsieh joined the faculty at UW-Eau Claire in the Fall of 2016 after receiving her Ph.D. degree in criminal justice and criminology from Washington State University. In addition, she is an affiliated researcher with the Washington State Institute for Criminal Justice (WSICJ) and is currently working on projects involving crime mapping and management as well as other data collection and analysis designs. In addition to presenting papers at professional conferences such as Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) and American Society of Criminology (ASC), her recent publications have appeared in a number of well-respected journals including Feminist Criminology, Criminal Justice Policy Review, International Criminal Justice Review, Journal of Interpersonal Violence and Journal of Offender Rehabilitation. She has also co-authored a textbook for Wolters/Kluwer with Marilyn McShane, Women in Criminal Justice.
