In November 2025, the Council of Europe released two new reports authored by criminologists Marcelo F. Aebi, Ignacio Cid-Pozo, Edoardo Cocco, and Yuji Z. Hashimoto from the School of Criminal Sciences at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. These publications continue the authors’ long-standing contribution to European criminal justice monitoring, offering updated, harmonized data and analysis on crime trends, sentencing practices, and correctional systems across member states.
